Hi math gurus! I am about one week through the semester, and getting a bit worried about my course work. I just don’t seem to get the stuff I am learning, especially things to do with abstrac algebra. Could somebody out there please teach me with mixed numbers, parallel lines and radicals. I can’t afford to hire a tutor, but if anyone knows about other ways of getting better with topics like algebraic signs or ratios painlessly, please let me know Thanks

You can find many links on the internet if you google the keyword abstrac algebra. Most of the information is however designed for the people who already have some know how about this subject. If you are a complete novice, you should use Algebrator. Is it easy to understand and very helpful too.

I totally agree, Algebrator is the best! I am really good in math since I used it, and I have the highest grades in the class! It helped me even with the hardest math problems, like those on mixed numbers or parallel lines. I definitely think you should give it a try .

I am not trying to run away from my problems. I do admit that dozing off is not a solution to it either. Please let me know where I can find this piece of software.

I remember having often faced problems with subtracting fractions, y-intercept and greatest common factor. A really great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many math classes – Remedial Algebra, Intermediate algebra and Remedial Algebra. I greatly recommend the program.

Details regarding this software can be found here: http://www.mathfraction.com/review-of-fractions.html. I think they are offering money back guarantee so you don’t have to worry about it. Believe me, it’s the best math software I used. I hope you’d get the assistance you are looking for from this software.
