Hey guys!. Ever since I have started how is doing operations (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) with rational expressions similar to or different from doing operations with fractions? at school I never seem to be able to cope with it well. I am very good at all the other branches, but this particular area seems to be my weakness. Can some one aid me in learning it well?

I know how difficult it can be if you are a bit lost with how is doing operations (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing) with rational expressions similar to or different from doing operations with fractions?. It’s a bit hard to give you advice without more information of your needs. But if you don’t want to pay for a tutor, then why not just use some software and see how it goes. There are countless programs out there, but one you should consider would be Algebrator. It is pretty easy to use plus it is quite affordable.

All, Thanks a lot for the guidance that you have given. I just had a look at the Algebrator available at: http://www.mathfraction.com/equivalent-fractions-2.html. The interesting part that I liked was the pay back guarantee that they are extending there. I went ahead and purchased Algebrator. It is really user friendly and turns up to be a remarkable tool for Pre Algebra.
